Weight loss is relatively easy compared to acquiring a job, making career changes, getting out
of debt, or bringing up children. In an interview with CNBC analyst, Alex Schlagin, Dr. Kelly says
that it’s a huge win when people start to see their weight.
Of course, the key to succeeding at weight loss is prevention. The sooner you start on a
change, the easier it will be to achieve weight loss. The first thing that people have to remember
is that any kind of addiction takes years off your life.
Count your seven and seven as a starter number. When you say seven to yourself each day,
you’re committing to the habit of eating healthy each day. Your first day of choosing food that
makes you feel good (including mindful meals!) will give you a lot of confidence. You will lose
weight effortlessly.
As a positive psychologist, I’ve already played this card. If I can give myself high praise, it might
be time to add a burning candle strategy to my personal list of tips. Intentionally burning candles
to burn off feelings of Trappedness. Try it. In any space, you will notice slight changes after a
few occasions. For some people, this could take a day or two. Most people, especially long
term, they will easily give in and give up the love of their lives.
Losing weight is all about pain and pleasure — if you’re not careful. There are a lot of people
who starve themselves and spend their days in denial. Dr. Kelly agrees that part of getting the
weight off is about feeling good. If you’re stubborn about seeking relief, you’ll probably find
yourself in terrible pain and in a lot of discomforts that make you unhappy.
Once you’ve kicked the weight, it’s just a matter of figuring out how you can rein in the
uncontrollable compulsive impulses. It’s common to suffer from self-injury which is eating too
much, binge eating, and debauchery. Stop these practices for a while. If your weight is truly
steady, you will end up doing it naturally.
Your body becomes “off the scales.” This is a scientifically proven and present fact. This can
also be explained by genetics. You will almost definitely find yourself getting more fit as your
body’s life cycles which includes drops in weight.

When we lose weight, the body learns to shed fat around our hips and thighs. It’s time to
understand why your metabolism is responsible for how much food your body consumes.
In life, we have many insecurities and we need to learn to love ourselves and think positively.
Once you start seeing your weight, your mood will slowly change. Any doubt about our bodies
will turn into self-blame. Unfortunately, that is not a recipe for getting healthy.
Taking small steps is the key to success and retaining that success, as well as avoiding
resentments.
