Kane Allen Brown is a famous American singer. He first came to the attention of the public through social media and released his debut EP, “Closer” in June 2015. His latest single, “Used to Love You Sober”, was released October 2015.
Early Life & Education
Kane Brown was born on 20th February 1992 in Statesboro, Georgia, United States. He was raised as an only child by his single mother. His mother is a school teacher and his father is an American Football coach. He attended Statesboro High School, where he was the starting quarterback for the football team. Brown also played basketball and competed in track and field for his high school teams. Brown’s senior year of high school saw him earn two letters at the state championships in football, track and field, and basketball. His senior year of high school also saw him pick up four honors- All-County Honorable Mention In Football; All-County Honorable Mention In Track & Field; All-County Honorable Mention In Basketball; and All-County Honorable Mention In Baseball.
In 2012, Brown graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing. He then attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts to pursue a music career.

Kane Brown’s first EP, “Closer” was released on June 25, 2015. The EP featured the singles “Used to Love You Sober”, “Meant to Be” and “If I’m Honest”. His second EP, “Lose It”, was released on November 4, 2015. The album featured the singles “Ain’t No Way”, “Tell Me How You Fall” and “Gone”. On January 28, 2016 he released a second single from the EP called ‘If I’m Honest’. The song peaked at number 11 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and number 39 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. On March 17, 2016 Kane Brown released a third single from the EP called ‘Sweet Reputation’. The song peaked at number 80 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.
